This is a private tour designed only for you and your loved ones. To start our tour, we are picking you up from your hotel in Alanya, Side or Belek and we are hitting the road for our great adventure in Cappadocia. Our first stop in Cappadocia will be Goreme National Park. Göreme National Park and the Rock Sites of Cappadocia were added to UNESCO’s World Heritage list in 1985.
Cappadocia, the land of white horses, is located in eastern Anatolia and boasts a unique historical and cultural heritage. In addition, the landscape of the region’s Devrent, Paşabağ, and Pigeon valleys is characterized by unusual fairy chimney formations which will have you sometimes find yourself as if you are living in a fairy tale.
Millions of years ago, 3 mountains around Cappadocia were active volcanoes. Fairy chimneys are formed because of the volcanic eruptions and erosion of the tuff layers of volcanic ash of these volcanic mountains. Fairy Chimneys are the most unique natural beauties and they are definitely worth seeing.
During this excursion we will come across a wide variety of fairy chimney shapes, ranging from conical, pointed, and columnar to hat and mushroom-shaped.
We will have chance to visit an underground city and the Göreme Open Air Museum, which features over 30 rock-carved churches and chapels, dating from the 9th to the 11th centuries, and many with interior frescoes. We will have some magical moments there.
Our guide will take us to the Mevlâna Museum in Konya, the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi. The site was also the lodge of the Mevlevi order of whirling dervishes. If you like you can choose to see a whirling dervishes show (not included in the tour price).
