Our 6-hour tour begins with us picking you up from your centrally located hotel and drive to the old city region of Istanbul.
Our first stop ancient Byzantine Hippodrome, where our guide will show us the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, and Fountain of Wilhelm II and talk about their history.
Afterwards we will visit the Blue Mosque, known for its 6 minarets and blue Iznik tiles. Then we will see the Hagia Sophia Museum, built as a church during the reign of Emperor Theodosius and destroyed in the fire of Nika Revolt in 532 A.D. Hagia Sophia holds importance for both Muslims and Orthodox Christians and one of Istanbul’s most visited landmarks.
After a delicious lunch break at a local restaurant, we will visit the Topkapi Palace, the residence and administrative center of the Ottoman sultans. There we will have chance to learn about Ottoman palace life and see some sacred items.
Last but not least; we will stop by at the famous Grand Bazaar, one of the liveliest point of Istanbul.There we will have chance to shop for some Turkish handicrafts and practice our bargaining skills before heading back to our hotel.
