Istanbul Landmarks Shore Excursion with Tram- Grand Bazaar, St. Sophia, Hippodrome Square & Blue Mosque

Your guide will meet you at the port, where you will stop by before your cruise departs again, and will assist you in exploring Istanbul by tram. On this tour, we will see some of Istanbul's most prominent attractions in a short length of time.

First, we'll go to the magnificent Hagia Sophia, Istanbul's popular basilica that has been an important part of the city since Byzantine times. With its spectacular architecture, religious and cultural worth, and its location in the heart of the city, this unrivaled basilica offers an unforgettable memory.

The Blue Mosque, an architectural marvel, is the next stop. It stands out from similar structures around the world because of its six minarets and massive domes. Sinan the Architect created a landmarks that has preserved its value for hundreds of years.

We're going to the Hippodrome Square, where the Egyptian Obelisk and the Serpentie Column can be seen. During Byzantine times, chariot races were held in this ancient square. Our experienced guide will tell you some fascinating stories about the city's history.

Before concluding our tour, we will visit the Grand Bazaar, which is one of the world's largest and oldest covered markets. There are 60 retail streets and nearly 500 traditional shops in the Grand Bazaar. It's a great area to go souvenir shopping and have a good time.

Due to the fact that the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays, we will provide some free time on Nuruosmaniye Street or Arasta Bazaar if your tour falls on that day.

What to bring
It is recommended to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and water for the tour. You may also consider wearing comfortable shoes, as it involves some walking with inclines and steps.

Know before you go
We have planned your tour schedule and timing to coincide with your time spent waiting at the port. We will return you to the port when it iss convenient for you to rejoin your cruise.

As it is forbidden to wear shoes within the mosque, you will be requested to remove your shoes before entering. Men should wear long trousers and sleeved shirts within the mosque, while women should wear slacks, below-knee dresses or skirts, and elbow-length or longer shirts. Women can wear scarves to cover their hair. If you do not have appropriate apparel, the entrance staff will assist you free of charge.

Instructions for Participating in the Tour
After disembarking from your cruise ship, proceed straight into the terminal building. You will be greeted by your guide, who will assist you during the tour.

Please note that some tourist attractions are closed on particular days of the week. If one of these days falls on your tour, we will proceed to one of the following alternate locations:
As the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays, we will visit the Spice Market instead
Mondays: Since Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays, we can visit the old Basilica Cistern, often known as the "Sunken Palace."

At the end of the excursion, you will be transported to Istanbul Port in plenty of time to catch your ship.
