Day 1
Welcome to Istanbul
Our journey begins with us picking you up from the airport and transferring you to your hotel in Istanbul with a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. There you will meet our tour guide in a welcome reception. The rest of the day is free for you to start exploring the city.
Day 2
Discover Colourful Istanbul
On Day 2, we are leaving the hotel in order to dive into the heart of Istanbul: the Old City. Here, we will get the chance to visit the captivating Topkapi Palace, the exquisite Hagia Sophia, matchless Blue Mosque, the Byzantine Hippodrome, and the largest and older covered market the Grand Bazaar. We will also get the admire the beautiful view of the Bosphorus.
Day 3
Journey to Gallipoli and Canakkale
Day 3 is dedicated to remembering a glorious past. We are heading to Gallipoli to commemorate the fallen soldiers of World War I. As a common memory for Turkish, Australian and New Zealandian visitors, the Lone Pine Cemetery, the Anzac Cove and Chunuk Bair holds a great importance. After a long day of reminiscing the history, we are heading to our hotel for the night.
Day 4
Off to Troy, Pergamon and Izmir
Homer’s Iliad tells one the biggest love stories of the history, that led to the most unforgettable war of the ancient world: the Trojan War. On our 4th day, we discover the ancient city of Troy, wander around the ruins and remains. We also get to see a replica of the wooden Trojan horse. After our tour in Troy, we are hitting the road again for Pergamon, and ancient kingdom. Here we will visit the Asclepion, that is the medical center of the ancient era.
Day 5
Admire the Ruins of Ephesus and on to Pamukkale
Our journey continues with the ancient city of Ephesus on Day 5. One of the most developed cities of the ancient times, Ephesus still hosts some of the most exquisite landmarks that are still standing. We will admire the amazing Library of Celsus, walk along the marble streets, see the grand amphitheater and explore the matchless Temple of Artemis. On the way, we will also have the chance to pay a visit to the last resting place of the Holy mother Mary, the House of Virgin Mary. After a day of discovery, we are heading to Pamukkale, enjoying the amazing view of the travertine terraces. At the end of the day, we are heading our thermal hotel to spend a night of relaxation before our big day tomorrow.
Day 6
Onwards to Hierapolis and Konya
Day 6 takes us to one of the most important cities of the ancient world: the incomparable Hierapolis. Here we will explore the ancient city ruins. After, we will hop on to our tour bus and head to Konya, the city of peace and tolerance, the city of Rumi.
Day 7
Continue to Cappadocia
On Day 7, we are exploring Konya, by visiting the Mevlana Museum and Mausoleum, that is dedicated to worldwide famous Sufi Rumi. We can see an optional whirling dervishes show to have an unforgettable traditional experience. After Konya, our next stop is Cappadocia. We will see the mesmerizing panoramic view of Cappadocia from Ortahisar Castle and head to our hotel for taking a rest before tomorrow’s adventure.
Day 8
A Day to Explore Spectacular Göreme
On Day 8, we are diving into the heart of Cappadocia. We will visit Goreme Open Air Museum to explore the ancient cave churches with amazing cave paintings. Next we will stumble upon Pasabagi, the Red Valley and Saratli Underground city, where we will have the chance to take a peak at the daily life on ancient times. This day is full of amazing landmarks and natural wonders such as the exceptional fairy chimneys surrounding us. After a long day, we are heading the hotel once more before our flight to Istanbul tomorrow.
Day 9
Return to Istanbul
Day 9 takes us to Istanbul again. After our return flight, the rest of the day is free for us to discover the city’s hidden gems. You can go to Spice Market, walk around the Sultanahmet area. Or you can enjoy the best views of the Bosphorus on a cruise tour.
Day 10
Farewell Istanbul
Our last day in Istanbul, we are saying goodbye to Turkey until our next visit. We are returning our homes with irreplaceable memories to remember for a lifetime.
