We will meet you at the port of embarkation for your cruise. During your little waiting time, we will transport you to the most popular Ephesus sights.
The trip will begin with a 25-minute drive to Ephesus. The House of Virgin Mary, located 5 kilometers from Ephesus in the Aladag Mountains, will be the starting point for our visit. In 37 A.D., Virgin Mary and St. John landed in Ephesus, where she lived until her death in 48 A.D. After its discovery in 1892, it was designated as a pilgrimage site. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited and prayed here. We will be here for around 40 minutes, and you will have the opportunity to write a message on the famous wishing wall.
The tour will next continue to Ephesus, one of Turkey's most important historical sites, where we will start our tour from the upper gate. (Please note that Ephesus is a long walk, and because there are steps and rocky ground, it is recommended that you wear comfortable footwear.)
The Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus (built by Gaius Julius Aquila in the early second century A.D. as a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, proconsul of Province of Asia), the Temple of Hadrian, and the Grand Theatre are just a few of Ephesus' most impressive structures. The Grand Amphitheatre was created in the 3rd century B.C. and then expanded in the 1st century A.D. by the Romans to hold 24.000 spectators.
There will be many possibilities to take great photographs of your experience, and if you're looking for souvenirs, there will be cafes, restrooms, and plenty of gift stands.
Our next stop will be the Temple of Artemis, which was once one of the ancient world's seven wonders, where we will view what remains before returning to Kusadasi's town center and port.
